Established in 1954, the William Temple Episcopal Center (aka “Willie T’s”) is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, serving the students and faculty of Galveston’s UTMB medical school. We provide a place for study, relaxation, and renewal, with an overall aim for promoting the spiritual, mental, and physical wellbeing of tomorrow’s healers and healthcare professionals.

Study Room – Students are invited to make use of our study room, which offers coffee, snacks, games, and a relaxing atmosphere.

Free Dinners – Every Wednesday at 6pm we host a free dinner for students to meet, unwind, and recharge for the week ahead.

Sacred Space – Situated on the property of one of Galveston’s most beautiful and historic churches, Willie T’s also provides a space for contemplative prayer, meditation, and reflection, in Trinity Church’s sanctuary each Wednesday’s from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Brews & Beliefs – A weekly theological/philosophical discussion group that meets at Sonny's every Wednesday at 8pm. Open to people of any OR no faith! (See “Brews & beliefs" for recent topics).
