A variety of community organizations use William Temple Episcopal Center as their meeting place. Check out the list below.
University Area Association: The mission of the University Area Association is to maintain and improve the quality of life in the University area as well as promote and foster stable economic growth and provide an open forum for the community. University Area Association meetings are held the third Monday of each month, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Visitors are Welcome.
Galveston Ministerial Alliance: The Galveston Ministerial Alliance meets 9:30 a.m. the second Wednesday of each month at William Temple Center, except the Summer months of June, July & August.
AA Groups: The Phoenix Alcoholic Anonymous Group meets Sunday and Wednesday evenings from 8-10 p.m. at William Temple Episcopal Center. Based on the 12-steps the meetings are open discussion meetings. The meetings are open to the public. Parking is available in the rear of the building.
ALANON: An Alanon group meets each Tuesday at 12 noon in the library at William Temple Center. Open to the public.
Samaritan Counseling Center: Athena Patelis, Ph.D., licensed psychologist, is a Samaritan Counselor, working out of the William Temple Episcopal Center each Tuesday afternoon, from 1-6 p.m. The Samaritan Center for Counseling and Education provides pastoral counseling in the Houston/Galveston area with support provided by many churches, foundations and individual contributions.
