Library
The
Library at William Temple Episcopal Center offers an inviting and relaxing
atmosphere. Open to the public, anyone is welcome to browse through the
books, periodicals, and literature, listen or view tapes, or simply use
the space for prayer and meditation.
Included on the Library shelves are collections of books on Labyrinths,
Spirituality, Healing, Faith, Theology, several versions of The Bible,
as well as other faith based books. One section is devoted to books on
the late William Temple, the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Periodicals contained in the Library include Theology Today, The Christian
Century, Spirituality and Health, Science & Theology, Science and
Spirit, The Healing Line, Consumer Reports on Health, Self Healing, Health
& Nutrition, and Weavings, a Journal of Christian Spiritual Life.
Audio and Video tapes on Spirituality and Healing in Medicine, Community
of Hope Lay Chaplain lectures, and copies of Spirituality in Healthcare
Dialogues sponsored by William Temple Episcopal Center from 1995 through
the present date, dealing with everything from family values to grief
and loss are included in the Library.
For
those who want to just take a few minutes out and relax, the library contains
two finger labyrinths, Icons, a tape player and TV to view or listen to
your choice of audio or visual tape.
